Allow Saksi alerts

Saksi can alert you about proven edits and possible deletions. How to allow its notifications, test them, and keep alerts private.

Last reviewed October 21, 2026

Saksi can alert you about proven edits, confirmed deletions and possible deletions. Every alert is also kept in the Alerts inbox inside the app. Alerts are optional: Saksi saves notifications either way.

Allow alerts

  1. In Saksi, open Settings > Message alerts. You can also use More options (three dots) on the Timeline > Message alerts.
  2. Check the status shown for each alert type. Android permits alerts on this channel means alerts can be shown.
  3. If it says Android is blocking app notifications, open your phone's Settings > Apps > Saksi > Notifications and allow them.
  4. If it says This Android channel is muted or blocked, open the same screen and turn that Saksi channel back on.
  5. Tap Send test notification. Saksi shows Test sent. Check the notification shade.

All three alert types start on: edits, supported deletion notices and possible deletions. You can turn each one off in Message alerts.

Make alerts easier to notice

Alerts are normal Android notifications. Your notification and Do Not Disturb settings decide whether they pop up or make a sound.

  • Quiet channel. Alerts appear in the shade without sound. Tap Make possible alerts prominent, then in Android choose Alerting and allow banners if offered.
  • Do Not Disturb may silence Saksi alerts. Turn it off or allow Saksi notifications through.
  • Rapid changes may be quiet to avoid repeated interruptions. Every eligible event stays in the inbox.

The Alerts inbox

Tap the bell icon on the Timeline, or Alerts inbox in Message alerts. The inbox keeps every eligible event, even when Android hides or blocks the notification itself.

Keep alerts private

Saksi alerts are marked private, so your lock screen settings decide whether their text shows. You can hide them from the lock screen or turn off message previews in Message alerts.
