Delete all data

Erase everything Saksi stored on your phone in one step. What is removed, what is not, and how to resume capture afterwards.

Last reviewed October 21, 2026

Delete all data erases Saksi's archive, saved files and alerts on your phone, then pauses capture. It does not delete messages in other apps or copies you already shared.

Delete everything

  1. In Saksi, open Settings > Archive & Storage.
  2. Under You control your data, tap Delete all data.
  3. Saksi asks Delete all data? Read the note and tap Delete. Tap Cancel to keep everything.

You can also use More options (three dots) on the Timeline > Delete all data. Settings > Privacy & Permissions has a link to the same place.

What is removed

  • All saved records and their history.
  • Saved photos and files, previews and caches.
  • The Alerts inbox and Saksi's own notifications.
  • Your Saksi settings and app choices, except your language.
  • Your diagnostics choices: usage analytics and crash reports are turned off, reports not yet sent are deleted, and the analytics ID on your phone is reset.

What is not removed

  • Messages in WhatsApp, Telegram or any other app.
  • Receipts or files you already shared. Shared copies cannot be recalled.
  • Notification Access. Saksi stays allowed until you turn it off in Android settings or uninstall the app.
  • Usage analytics or crash reports already sent, if you had turned them on. The privacy policy explains how long they are kept.

After deleting

Capture is paused, and old notifications are not saved again. The Timeline shows: "All local data was erased. Capture is paused. Review your app choices before resuming."

  1. Check App Filter in Settings > Capture & Apps if you want to change which apps are saved.
  2. Tap Resume capture on the Timeline to start saving again.

If you see Erasure incomplete, some files could not be removed. Tap Delete all data again. Capture stays paused until you resume it.

Stop Saksi completely

To remove Saksi's access as well, turn Saksi off in your phone's Notification Access settings, or uninstall the app.
