Phone brands and settings
Which phones Saksi was tested on, and general battery and background hints for other Android brands. Setting names vary by phone.
Last reviewed October 21, 2026
Saksi is being tested on a real phone before its Google Play release. The latest accepted test build was tested on an OPPO phone with Android 16. Other brands should work, but battery settings differ. If capture stops, check battery and Notification Access first.
Tested
| Phone | Android | Result |
|---|---|---|
| OPPO A6t Pro | Android 16 | Tested with the latest accepted test build (0.3.8): WhatsApp and Telegram capture, edits, possible deletions and alerts |
What we learned on this phone:
- The possible deletion alert channel can be quiet by default, so alerts land in the notification shade without sound. Use Make possible alerts prominent in Settings > Message alerts.
- Do Not Disturb silenced alerts. Allow Saksi through it if you want sound or pop ups.
Not tested yet: general guidance
The hints below are general Android guidance, not tested with Saksi on each brand. Setting names and places vary by phone model and Android version.
For every phone:
- Set Saksi's battery use to Unrestricted or Always allow.
- Allow background activity if shown.
- Do not lock, freeze or deep sleep Saksi in a battery or phone manager app.
- Recheck Notification Access after system updates or cleaning apps.
Samsung: look in Settings > Apps > Saksi > Battery for Unrestricted. In the battery settings, make sure Saksi is not in a list of sleeping apps.
Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO: look for Battery saver or Battery in Saksi's app info and choose No restrictions. If your phone has an Autostart setting, allow it for Saksi.
Motorola: in Saksi's app info, open Battery and choose Unrestricted or Always allow. If you are still on the setup screen and Saksi cannot confirm the change, tap I enabled Always allow.
OPPO, realme and OnePlus: in Saksi's app info, open Battery or Battery usage and allow background activity.
vivo, Honor, Huawei and others: look for battery or app launch settings for Saksi, and allow it to run in the background.
Google Pixel and phones close to plain Android: Settings > Apps > Saksi > App battery usage > Unrestricted.
Supported Android versions
Saksi supports Android 8.0 to Android 16. Only Android 16 has been tested on a real phone, with the latest accepted test build.
